Jonathan after bath time
We've had a very busy couple of months. Jonathan had his first Easter, complete with Easter Egg hunts, baskets, and Easter morning service. Hunting eggs at Mother's Day Out

Then Po-Po came to visit us for a few days, and Jonathan was delighted to see her! After that, Sarah's Granny came to visit for a while, and she accompanied us to Atlanta where we went to the zoo and the aquarium. We also stopped by Rock City in Chattanooga, TN on our way back.

Then, Memorial Day weekend, we made our annual pilgrimage to Texas for a week of family, friends, and hugs! We started in Dallas, where we visited with Sarah's cousins Richard and Gail, and then saw our good friends the Lawrences before heading on to Houston..

Memorial Day was spent on the beach with Grandma and cousin Arwyn. Jonathan LOVED the ocean - he kept dashing out into the surf, falling down, and hopping right back up, laughing the whole way. He and his daddy dug some holes in the sand. He liked it so much, he now has a sandbox of his own. We also rode the Bolivar Ferry, and Jonathan liked feeding the seagulls from the back of the boat.
"I love the beach!"

Then it was back to Dallas, to visit with Gong-gong, Po-po, and Uncle Isaac. They were all very excited to see him, and he put on quite a show for their entertainment. He would laugh and spin in circles on the carpet, then clap for himself to see if everyone else would join in. He's so funny!

Our last stop was in Paris, where we got to visit several folks! We spent some time with Sarah's grandmother, Dee, working on a family genealogy photo project. Jonathan enjoyed the vanilla wafers that were waiting for him there!

We visited with Sarah's Nanny, who was also delighted to see Jonathan.

And of course, Grandaddy and Mimi, who showered him with affection.

It was a wonderful trip, and though were pretty tired at the end of ten days, it was well worth the effort.
Since getting back, we've been doing a little work on the house, and Sarah's had a few more shifts working in the hospital. The shifts have been very good, helping her not to forget so many of the things she learned. Raphael has been extra busy at work, covering for all the folks who are on vacation.
Jonathan's vocabulary continues to expand at a rapid pace. All animals are "kitkat" (after Micah the kitty), and he has mastered phrases like "I see" "I do" "I know". He'll tell you "get down" and "all done", and he is a big helper, racing to "put it back" after taking things out of drawers or off shelves. His parents just couldn't be any prouder!
